With less than three weeks left of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, we are now fast approaching the summer transfer window.

It was Arsenal who spent more than any other side in the English top-flight last time out, splashing in excess £140million on six first-team players, with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu all joining Mikel Arteta’s revolution.

Technical director Edu is expected to be busy again this time around as the Brazilian transfer chief looks to find bring in at least one centre-forward given Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both into the final two months of their respective contracts at the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea’s window looked promising at the time, spending a club-record £97.5million on Inter Milan frontman Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian international has endured a difficult time at Stamford Bridge, netting just five league goals – falling behind Kai Havertz in Thomas Tuchel’s pecking order.

Tottenham Hotspur had a much quieter window, bringing in Cristian Romero, Emerson Royal and Bryan Gil whilst also keeping hold of talisman Harry Kane, who had been pursued by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The Lilywhites are expected to have a much busier window this time around as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his options and get Spurs back into the UEFA Champions League if they fail to qualify this time around.

London takes a look at the details for this summer’s transfer window and when it is expected to open.

The transfer market will reopen on Friday, June 10 – although most international deals usually don’t go through until the beginning of July whilst player contracts usually run out on June 30 of each year.

The window will also close on Thursday, September 1, with 11pm typically the deadline for Premier League clubs.
