Chelsea will be up for a bigger test in the EnglishPremier League on Saturday when they face Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge Stadium. Manchester United have the momentum heading into this game after winning their last fixture against Tottenham convincingly. Chelsea can’t also be written off just for their bad result against Brentford as they have what it takes to defeat the Red Devils.
Well, in today’s article, I will be sharing two players Graham Potter should drop and start for Chelsea in their next game against Man United.
Players That Should Be Dropped.
1, Kai Havertz.
I see no valid reason why the German Internationalkeeps starting games regularly for Chelsea this season. The 23-year-old has been so awful for the Blues this season scoring just a single goal in all competitions which speaks volumes of his poor performance at the club. In games, we barely see his contributions to the team as his sluggishness on the ball and poor finishing keeps dulling the Blues’ attacks. I don’t think he should start Chelsea’s next match against an in-form Man United side.
2, Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The English International is very inconsistent and can’t maintain good performance for a long while. The 26-year-old always tries to dribble even when passing or shooting is an option that can be considered in that situation. An inconsistent player like him should be on the sideline while others get the opportunity to show their worth. Ruben Loftus-Cheek should warm the bench against Man United.
Players That Should Be Started.
1, Christian Pulisic.
Christian Pulisic hasn’t struggled to see playing time for the Blues this season as he is often benched in most of the team’s matches. The American International showed his brilliance for Chelsea yesterday despite coming from the bench as he was a huge threat to Brentford’s defense line. The 24-year-old deserves to start Chelsea’s next game against Man United.
2, Hakim Ziyech.
Surprisingly, the Moroccan International is arguably the most creative Chelsea player presently but still isn’t getting much playing time at the club. A player of his immense quality shouldn’t be on the bench while Kai Havertz is on the pitch. I believe Graham Potter should consider playing him from the start against Man United on Saturday as his great vision could manufacture goals for Chelsea in the match.
