Paulo Dybala’s surprising transfer decision gives Arsenal transfer access to £38m Germany star

Paulo Dybala’s latest transfer option could give Arsenal access to one of Germany’s brightest prospects.

Karim Adeyemi’s move to Borussia Dortmund looks a certainty, but Dybala could have put this in doubt.

According to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Dortmund are the club to have made a concrete offer for the Juventus forward.

They have also offered him a central role in terms of image amid the imminent departure of Erling Haaland, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City.

This follows previous reports in February from Spanish news outlet El Nacional that Borussia Dortmund have been turned off by Salzburg’s £38million demands for Karim Adeyemi.

This has meant that both Arsenal and Real Madrid have entered the race for the forward.

Mikel Arteta admits ‘awkward’ decisions have been made on Nketiah, Lacazette and Elneny futures

Arsenal will be in desperate need of two new strikers in the summer transfer window, with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s days looking increasingly numbered.

Both players‘ contracts are set to expire at the end of the season, and both have been linked with moves away from the club.

Crystal Palace are hopeful of signing Nketiah on a free transfer in the summer.

Patrick Vieira’s failed to bring him at the start of this season, with the two clubs unable to agree on a fee, but this will no longer be an issue.

If he does depart from the club, along with Lacazette, then Folarin Balogun would be the only remaining striker at the club, meaning two striker signings may be required to combat the need for greater squad depth if Arsenal secures a return to the Champions League.

Adeyemi would be the perfect striker signing for Mikel Arteta’s system and Edu’s recruitment plan meaning Arsenal should be doing everything in their power to pursue a deal for the forward.

At just 20-years-old the youngster has already played 91 times for RB Salzburg and has scored 31 goals while providing 22 assists alongside his scoring exploits.

His performances at the club level have been so impressive that he has already featured for the German national team on three occasions and scored one goal.

The striker has already shown he has what it takes to be at the level to compete with the elite.

Adeyemi has made a name for himself in the Champions League this season after contributing to five goals in eight games, as his side surprisingly progressed to the knockout stages of the competition for the first-ever time.

Signing Adeyemi for just £38million would be an excellent coup because it still gives Arteta enough funding to sign another forward.

Tammy Abraham, who has been linked with a move to the Gunners, has had a £100m price tag quoted for him, and Arsenal’s other targets in Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak are also around the same price.

Dybala has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.

If he decides to join Borussia Dortmund, then it could prove to be a blessing in disguise if it means that the chances to sign Adeyemi increase.
