Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has added his voice to the ongoing saga in English football over the use of video assistant referees, and his comments were directed at the officials.
English football is rocked by the scandal that ensued after human and technological errors were acknowledged in the Tottenham vs Liverpool game.
Luis Diaz’s legitimate goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside, and the VAR waved it on, a decision that appeared to have influenced the outcome of the game, which Tottenham won 2-1.
According to BBC Sports, the referee’s body, PGMOL, acknowledged significant human error, which required VAR intervention. Still, the officials in charge did not intervene and agreed with the on-pitch decision, thinking it had given a goal.

The scandal has seen Liverpool officially petition for a replay of the game, with head coach Jurgen Klopp insisting that alone settles the incident in which his team received two red cards.
Chelsea boss Pochettino, speaking ahead of the trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley, shared his thoughts on the incident as quoted by Football London.
The Blues have not won back-to-back games since March and hope to get the better of newly promoted side Burnley after beating London neighbours Fulham 2-0 in their last game.
Klopp wants Tottenham Liverpool replayed
Sports Brief reported that Jurgen Klopp wants a replay of the controversial Tottenham vs Liverpool game after PGMOL admitted to human error in wrongly disallowing Luis Diaz’s goal.
To make matters worse, the body also confirmed that Diogo Jota should not have been sent off for two bookable offences in 22 seconds, which made Liverpool end the game with nine men after Curtis Jones was earlier sent off.
