Alejandro Garnacho came from the bench to score a late winner for Manchester United as the Red Devils secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Fulham at the Craven Cottage.
Manchester United took the lead in the first half through Christian Eriksen and he could have added a second on the stroke of halftime, but he fired wide of the post. The home side also had a fair share of clear cut chances but they lacked the cutting edge on front of goal.
In the 61st minutes, Dan James pulled one back for the host and few minutes after the equalizer, the Welshman nearly turned the game around for Fulham but saw his acrobatic effort saved by David De Gea and in the 93rd minutes, Garnacho scored Manchester United’s second to secure all three points few minutes after coming in as a substitute to replace Anthony Martial.
