Former Chelsea football club of England forward and Cobham academy graduate, Tammy Abraham was phenomenal yesterday for Jose Mourinho led AS Roma team in their 10th league game of the current Italian Serie A campaign away from home against Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The 24 year old Nigerian-descent and England international was handed a role to play in his team’s starting XI line-up having been a key figure in the squad paraded by the Portuguese tactician since completing his move to the Stadio Olimpico in the last summer transfer window.
Tammy Abraham was at top notch for the visitor in the show of the night as he played his part and also contributed his quota using his vast experience to create a couple of chances which made him posed to be a big and complete threat in the opposition box.
The Jose Mourinho’s side got the lead via penalty as early as the 9th minute of the game as Lorenzo Pellegrini put the ball away from the spot to make it one nil which was the only goal that separated the two sides going into the half time break.
The tempo of the game between the two sides got tensed up in the second half as they both displayed at the peak by putting up some more physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to found the back of the net with every other attempts to add more to the tally of the night proving abortive as it ended one nil at full time.
AS Roma with the hard-fought win of the night have now moved to the 4th place on the Italian Serie A table which they will be hoping to keep the winning streaks going in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
Tammy Abraham with his superb and great influx of influence in the team will also be optimistic to keep the standard going in their subsequent games.
