Management is an easier job when things aregoing well, but Thomas Tuchel still has plenty onhis plate at Chelsea currently.
Tuchel and his players are still riding the wavecreated when they won the Champions Leagueback in May. This season they have won theSuper Cup and remain unbeaten in the PremierLeague after four matches, with nine goalsscored and just one conceded.
Things haven’t got any better since then, withMarcos Alonso beginning the season as Tuchel’sfirst-choice left wing-back at Chelsea.
His situation requires delicate work from Tuchel, who needs to show he has the man-managementskills to match his tactical ones.
The early signs are that Tuchel is on top of it andunderstands the importance of fostering aharmonious atmosphere if the club are to enjoy asuccessful season.
The fact that Tuchel has held talks with Chilwellto reassure him of his place in the squad perhapsshows that he has learnt from his predecessor
