The Premier League received its first sign of the strength that Manchester City will have in next year’s title race as they confirmed the signing of Norway international from Borussia Dortmund.
“In a statement released on the club’s official website, City said:”Manchester City can confirm we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.” The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.
Once personal terms have been agreed with Haaland, the thought of facing the 21-year-old will be a fearsome prospect, with City already set to win this season’s Premier League it could be just the start of a new period of dominance from Pep Guardiola and his charges.
